About Lido DAO (LDO)
Lido DAO (LDO) is the governance token of Lido, the liquid staking protocol that issues stETH to people who stake ether through it. LDO holders vote on protocol settings, fees and node operator choices through the Lido DAO. LDO does not represent staked ETH, so it is a separate asset from stETH. People swap LDO into ETH or a stablecoin to close a position, and others convert into LDO so they can vote from their own wallet.

Is LDO the same thing as stETH?
No, LDO is the governance token of Lido DAO, while stETH is the token Lido issues for staked ether. They are separate ERC-20 contracts, and an LDO deposit address will not accept stETH.
Should I pick LDO on Ethereum or Arbitrum One?
Go by where your LDO sits right now. If it sits on Ethereum mainnet, choose the Ethereum listing; if you hold it on Arbitrum One, choose that one. For payouts, pick the network where you want to use the tokens next.
What if I send mainnet LDO to an Arbitrum deposit address?
The deposit address expects LDO on Arbitrum One, so a mainnet transfer will not be credited as normal. Because both chains share the 0x address format, the transfer can still go through on the wrong network. Reach out to support at @xswap_to with the deposit's transaction ID; they can look into it, but getting it back is not assured.
Do I need ETH on Arbitrum to send LDO there?
Yes, Arbitrum One charges gas in ETH held on Arbitrum, not on mainnet. A wallet with LDO on Arbitrum and no ETH there cannot send the deposit. Bridge a small amount of ETH over first.
Can I stake or vote through xswap.to after buying LDO?
