Provide Destination

Paste your BTC wallet address and check it twice, because blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. If the coin needs a memo or destination tag, a field for it appears. xswap.to never asks for your private keys.

Why Swap and Bridge AVAX to BTC Here?

Swapping Avalanche (AVAX) for Bitcoin (BTC) here takes one transfer from your wallet: no exchange account, no balance to deposit and no withdrawal queue. You choose the receiving address, and the BTC goes there once the swap completes.

Rates are floating, so the amount shown is an estimate that can shift slightly while your Avalanche deposit confirms on Avalanche X-Chain. The payout is sent on Bitcoin, so check that your Bitcoin address belongs to that network before you confirm.

About Swapping Avalanche to Bitcoin

As of Nov 4, 2026 14:53 UTC, 1 AVAX is worth about $8.16 and 1 BTC about $77,978.07. These figures move with the market, and the widget shows the live estimate before you confirm.

Bitcoin (BTC) is the payout on this page, delivered to your own Bitcoin address, and you pay with AVAX from the Avalanche X-Chain. No account is created. People convert AVAX to BTC when they want to move funds from a fast smart-contract ecosystem into the oldest proof-of-work coin, often to keep it in a hardware wallet for the long term. Your AVAX goes to a one-time X-Chain deposit address.

On Avalanche, the X-Chain is the network for creating and sending assets, and its addresses begin with X-avax1. Do not confuse it with the C-Chain, the EVM chain where MetaMask keeps AVAX, which the selector lists as Avalanche (C-Chain). Bitcoin is a separate proof-of-work blockchain, so the swap is cross-chain. Bitcoin addresses come in a few formats, most often bc1 for SegWit wallets, with older ones starting with 1 or 3. No memo is needed.

Bitcoin's miner fee for the payout is already taken out of the floating-rate estimate the widget shows before you deposit. Market moves before your X-Chain deposit confirms can change the final amount slightly. New Bitcoin blocks come about every 10 minutes on average, and when they are full the payout can take longer to confirm in your wallet. Follow the AVAX to BTC exchange on your order page using its transaction ID.

Before you send

  • Send only X-Chain AVAX to the X-avax1 deposit address, because C-Chain AVAX needs the separate Avalanche (C-Chain) listing.
  • Use an on-chain Bitcoin address for the payout, not a Lightning invoice or a Bitcoin Cash address.
  • Factor in the Bitcoin miner fee inside the estimate when planning a small swap, since it takes a larger share of small payouts.
  • Wait for the order page to show finished, and expect your Bitcoin wallet to list the payout as unconfirmed at first.

AVAX to BTC Frequently Asked Questions

My AVAX is in MetaMask, so can I still use this page?

Not directly, since MetaMask holds C-Chain AVAX and this page takes X-Chain AVAX at an X-avax1 deposit address. Choose Avalanche (C-Chain) as the coin you send and you still receive BTC. The other route is to move the coins to the X-Chain in a wallet such as Core first.

Which Bitcoin address types work for the payout?

Use a regular on-chain Bitcoin address from your wallet, most often a bc1 SegWit address, though older addresses starting with 1 or 3 are also Bitcoin formats. Copy it from your wallet's Receive screen rather than typing it. Lightning invoices and addresses from other coins will not work.

Why can the BTC amount differ from the estimate?

The estimate uses a floating rate, so it follows AVAX and BTC prices up to the point your deposit is confirmed and exchanged. Bitcoin miner fees also change with demand for block space, and the payout fee is part of the estimate. Small swaps feel these changes most.

How long until the BTC shows up in my wallet?

It depends on the X-Chain deposit, the exchange step and then Bitcoin itself, which aims for roughly one block per 10 minutes. Your wallet may show the BTC as unconfirmed until a miner includes it in a block. The order page and a Bitcoin block explorer show where things stand.

Will my AVAX to BTC order still be there if I close the tab?

It will, in the same browser: recent orders are saved locally and appear on the Track Order page. There is no account, email or password behind them, so another browser or device will not show the order. Note the transaction ID somewhere safe as a backup.

What if I sent AVAX on the wrong chain?

Contact support on Telegram at @xswap_to right away with the transaction ID and your deposit transaction hash. Funds sent on the wrong network may not be recoverable, and refunds are not automatic, so support reviews each case. Prevention is easier: check that the order page says X-Chain before you send.
