Either prefix describes the same account: XDC Network replaced 0x with xdc in its native wallets, and the characters after the prefix are identical. Use the form your wallet shows, and if the address field does not accept it, swap in the other prefix. Never edit any other characters.
There can be. If the order page lists a memo next to the deposit account, put it in the memo field of your HBAR transfer, because that is how the deposit is linked to your order. The XDC payout itself never needs a memo.
XDC Network is an EVM-compatible layer 1 aimed at trade finance, such as tokenized invoices and settlement between businesses. XDC is its native coin and pays transaction fees there. Its consensus, XDPoS, relies on masternodes that stake XDC to produce blocks.
It can once you add XDC Network as a custom network, because the chain is EVM-compatible and uses the same key format. MetaMask shows the address with 0x, which is the same account as the xdc form. Switch MetaMask to XDC Network afterwards to see the balance.
The swap uses a floating rate, so the estimate reflects prices when you create the order, not when your HBAR deposit confirms. A move between those two points changes the result a little. The XDC payout fee is already counted in the estimate, so no separate charge appears later.
