It depends on where the HBAR goes. Exchanges often send every customer's HBAR to one shared account and use the memo to tell deposits apart, so leaving it out can strand your coins. A personal wallet such as HashPack or a Ledger account usually needs no memo.
A Hedera account ID has three numbers separated by dots, such as 0.0.123456. Some wallets also display a 0x EVM-style alias for the same account. Paste the 0.0 account ID from your wallet, since that is the standard way to receive HBAR.
