How to Bridge & Swap Cardano for Avalanche (Avalanche X-Chain)

Swap ADA to AVAX in three steps without creating an account. You see an estimated amount before you send, the exchange runs automatically once your deposit confirms, and the AVAX goes straight to the wallet address you enter.

Configure Your Swap

Enter the amount of Cardano you want to swap in the widget above. It shows an estimate of the Avalanche you will receive on the Avalanche X-Chain network at the current floating rate, with the payout network fee already taken into account.

2
account_balance_wallet

Provide Destination

Paste your AVAX (Avalanche X-Chain) wallet address and check it twice, because blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. If the coin needs a memo or destination tag, a field for it appears. xswap.to never asks for your private keys.

Send & Automate

Confirm the order and send your ADA to the one-time deposit address on the Cardano network. Once the deposit confirms, the swap runs automatically and the AVAX is sent to your wallet. The order page shows every stage.

Why Swap and Bridge ADA to AVAX Here?

Swapping Cardano (ADA) for Avalanche (AVAX) here takes one transfer from your wallet: no exchange account, no balance to deposit and no withdrawal queue. You choose the receiving address, and the AVAX goes there once the swap completes.

Rates are floating, so the amount shown is an estimate that can shift slightly while your Cardano deposit confirms on Cardano. The payout is sent on Avalanche X-Chain, so check that your Avalanche address belongs to that network before you confirm.

How much is Cardano (ADA) converted to Avalanche (AVAX)?

At the latest hourly update, 4 ADA converts to about --- AVAX. The figure comes from the floating rate and already allows for the payout network fee. Rates move, so the widget recalculates the estimate when you enter your own amount, and no account or registration is needed to swap.

About Swapping Cardano to Avalanche

You send ADA from a Cardano wallet and receive native AVAX on the Avalanche X-Chain, paid to an X-avax1 address that you control. There is no account, email or signup. People swap ADA to AVAX when they want to move value from a Cardano holding into an Avalanche wallet such as Core, where X-Chain AVAX can later be shifted to the C-Chain or P-Chain from inside the same app.

Built on the Ouroboros proof-of-stake protocol, Cardano (ADA) records balances in an extended UTXO model and charges its fees in ADA. Avalanche (AVAX) runs three built-in chains, and this page pays out on the X-Chain, the one designed for creating and transferring assets. So the order crosses from one network to another, with no memo on either side. Your payout address must start with X-avax1, because a 0x C-Chain address will not work here.

Before anything leaves your wallet, the widget gives a floating-rate estimate of the AVAX you will get, and the X-Chain network fee for the payout is already taken out of that figure. If ADA or AVAX moves in price while your deposit is confirming, the final amount can shift a little. Timing mostly depends on how fast Cardano confirms your ADA, since X-Chain transfers finalize quickly once sent. The order page shows each stage and the transaction ID.

Before you send

  • Copy a receiving address that starts with X-avax1, or switch the receive coin to Avalanche (C-Chain) if you only have a 0x wallet.
  • Deposit native ADA on the Cardano network itself, not the BEP-20 version of Cardano held on BNB Smart Chain.
  • Avoid attaching Cardano native tokens or NFTs to the deposit transaction, and send ADA alone to the one-time address.
  • Leave a small amount of extra ADA in your Cardano wallet so it can cover the transaction fee on top of the swap amount.

ADA to AVAX Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive AVAX in MetaMask from this swap?

MetaMask cannot take this payout, because it works with the C-Chain and this page pays AVAX on the X-Chain. Pick Avalanche (C-Chain) as the receive coin if you want AVAX at a 0x address. For the X-Chain payout, use a wallet that shows an X-avax1 address, such as Core.

What does an Avalanche X-Chain address look like?

It begins with X-avax1 followed by a long string of lowercase letters and numbers. Avalanche wallets list it under the X-Chain account, separate from the 0x C-Chain address. Paste the whole string, including the X- prefix, into the receiving address field.

Which ADA can I deposit for this pair?

Only native ADA on the Cardano network. The selector also lists a BEP-20 Cardano token on BNB Smart Chain, which is a different deposit route with a 0x address. If you hold that version, choose it as the send coin instead, because a Cardano deposit address cannot receive BEP-20 tokens.

Why might I get slightly less AVAX than the estimate?

The rate is floating, so the AVAX figure follows the market until your ADA deposit confirms and the exchange runs. A move in either price during that window changes the payout a little in either direction. The X-Chain network fee is already included in the estimate, so it is not a separate charge.

Do I have to undelegate my ADA before swapping it?

You do not need to. Delegating ADA to a stake pool does not lock it on Cardano, so the coins stay spendable from your wallet while delegated. Send the amount you want to swap and keep a little ADA back for the network fee.

What should I do if my AVAX has not arrived?

Start with the order page, because it shows whether the swap is waiting for your deposit, confirming, exchanging or sending. If the status says finished, look up the payout transaction ID on an Avalanche explorer that covers the X-Chain. If the order seems stuck, message support on Telegram at @xswap_to with the transaction ID.
