Cross-Chain Bridge Guide

How to Bridge & Swap Cardano for Chainlink (Ethereum)

Swap ADA to LINK in three steps without creating an account. You see an estimated amount before you send, the exchange runs automatically once your deposit confirms, and the LINK goes straight to the wallet address you enter.

1

Configure Your Swap

Enter the amount of Cardano you want to swap in the widget above. It shows an estimate of the Chainlink you will receive on the Ethereum network at the current floating rate, with the payout network fee already taken into account.

2
account_balance_wallet

Provide Destination

Paste your LINK (Ethereum) wallet address and check it twice, because blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. If the coin needs a memo or destination tag, a field for it appears. xswap.to never asks for your private keys.

Send & Automate

Confirm the order and send your ADA to the one-time deposit address on the Cardano network. Once the deposit confirms, the swap runs automatically and the LINK is sent to your wallet. The order page shows every stage.

Why Swap and Bridge ADA to LINK Here?

Swapping Cardano (ADA) for Chainlink (LINK) here takes one transfer from your wallet: no exchange account, no balance to deposit and no withdrawal queue. You choose the receiving address, and the LINK goes there once the swap completes.

Rates are floating, so the amount shown is an estimate that can shift slightly while your Cardano deposit confirms on Cardano. The payout is sent on Ethereum, so check that your Chainlink address belongs to that network before you confirm.

How much is Cardano (ADA) converted to Chainlink (LINK)?

At the latest hourly update, 5 ADA converts to about 0.0506828 LINK. The figure comes from the floating rate and already allows for the payout network fee. Rates move, so the widget recalculates the estimate when you enter your own amount, and no account or registration is needed to swap.

About Swapping Cardano to Chainlink

ADA goes out from your Cardano wallet, and Chainlink (LINK) comes back as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, paid to your 0x address. You never create an account. A common reason to convert ADA to LINK is to hold the token that pays Chainlink node operators in the same Ethereum wallet as your other ERC-20 assets, rather than keeping funds split across Cardano and Ethereum.

Chainlink is an oracle network that brings off-chain data, such as price feeds, to smart contracts, and LINK is the token used to pay for that work. On this page LINK is the ERC-20 contract 0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca on Ethereum mainnet. Cardano (ADA) runs on its own proof-of-stake chain, so the swap is cross-chain. No memo is needed. Receiving LINK requires no ETH, but every later transfer of it will cost gas in ETH.

The widget quotes a floating-rate LINK estimate, and the Ethereum gas for sending an ERC-20 token, which is higher than for a plain ETH transfer, is already deducted. That is why small swaps can look less efficient. If prices move before the ADA deposit confirms, the LINK total may change slightly. Confirming the Cardano deposit and the exchange step take most of the time, while Ethereum adds a block every 12 seconds. Follow every stage on the order page.

Before you send

  • Receive LINK at an Ethereum 0x address and keep some ETH there if you plan to move the tokens afterwards.
  • Import the LINK contract 0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca in your wallet if the token balance stays hidden after the payout.
  • Select the Ethereum version of Chainlink, not the BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum One or Polygon listings, unless your wallet uses that network.
  • Send only Cardano network ADA to the order's deposit address, since the BEP-20 Cardano token has its own send option.

ADA to LINK Frequently Asked Questions

Which network is the LINK payout sent on?

It is sent on Ethereum mainnet as the ERC-20 token at contract 0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca. Other versions of LINK on BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum One and Polygon PoS are separate options in the selector. All of them use 0x addresses, so pick the network your wallet is set to.

Do I need ETH to receive LINK from an ADA swap?

Not to receive it, because the payout gas is paid when the token is sent and is already deducted from your LINK estimate. You do need ETH in the same address to transfer, sell or use the LINK later, since ERC-20 transfers pay gas in ETH.

Why can't I see LINK in my wallet after the swap finished?

Your wallet may not list LINK by default on that account. Make sure it is set to Ethereum mainnet, then add the token by its contract address. The payout transaction ID on your order page lets you confirm the transfer on an Ethereum block explorer either way.

What is Chainlink used for?

Chainlink is an oracle network that supplies smart contracts with outside data such as asset prices, randomness and cross-chain messages. LINK pays the node operators who provide that data. Many lending and trading apps on Ethereum and other chains read Chainlink price feeds.

Why does the LINK estimate move after I enter my amount?

Rates here are floating, so the estimate follows the live ADA and LINK markets. It also includes the Ethereum gas for the token payout, which changes with network demand. The figure settles when your deposit confirms and the exchange runs, and it can differ slightly from the first quote.

Can a swap from ADA to LINK be reversed?

Blockchain transfers cannot be undone once sent, so a payout to a wrong address or network is very hard to recover. If you made a mistake or the order looks stuck, contact @xswap_to on Telegram with the transaction ID and support will look into it. Check the address before you send anything.
