Cross-Chain Bridge Guide

How to Bridge & Swap Cardano for Monero

Swap ADA to XMR in three steps without creating an account. You see an estimated amount before you send, the exchange runs automatically once your deposit confirms, and the XMR goes straight to the wallet address you enter.

1
currency_exchange

Configure Your Swap

Enter the amount of Cardano you want to swap in the widget above. It shows an estimate of the Monero you will receive on the Monero network at the current floating rate, with the payout network fee already taken into account.

2
account_balance_wallet

Provide Destination

Paste your XMR wallet address and check it twice, because blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. If the coin needs a memo or destination tag, a field for it appears. xswap.to never asks for your private keys.

Send & Automate

Confirm the order and send your ADA to the one-time deposit address on the Cardano network. Once the deposit confirms, the swap runs automatically and the XMR is sent to your wallet. The order page shows every stage.

Why Swap and Bridge ADA to XMR Here?

Swapping Cardano (ADA) for Monero (XMR) here takes one transfer from your wallet: no exchange account, no balance to deposit and no withdrawal queue. You choose the receiving address, and the XMR goes there once the swap completes.

Rates are floating, so the amount shown is an estimate that can shift slightly while your Cardano deposit confirms on Cardano. The payout is sent on Monero, so check that your Monero address belongs to that network before you confirm.

How much is Cardano (ADA) converted to Monero (XMR)?

At the latest hourly update, 71 ADA converts to about 0.0122152 XMR. The figure comes from the floating rate and already allows for the payout network fee. Rates move, so the widget recalculates the estimate when you enter your own amount, and no account or registration is needed to swap.

About Swapping Cardano to Monero

Send native ADA from your Cardano wallet and receive Monero (XMR) on the Monero network at an address you control, with no account or signup. Many people convert ADA to XMR when they want part of their holdings in a coin that hides balances and payment history by default, something Cardano's public ledger does not do. You get a one-time Cardano deposit address for the order, and the XMR payout goes straight to your own wallet.

Cardano (ADA) is a proof-of-stake blockchain run by the Ouroboros protocol, and current Cardano wallet addresses begin with addr1. Monero (XMR) runs its own proof-of-work chain and uses ring signatures, stealth addresses and hidden amounts to keep transfers private. Because the chains share nothing, your XMR has to go to a Monero address, either a primary one beginning with 4 or a subaddress beginning with 8. Neither side asks for a memo or payment ID.

Ahead of any deposit, a floating-rate estimate of the XMR you will get appears in the widget, net of the fee the Monero network charges for the payout. If the ADA to XMR exchange rate moves while your deposit is confirming, the final figure can shift slightly. Cardano adds a block about every 20 seconds on average and Monero targets one block every 2 minutes, so confirmations on both chains set the pace. Your order page tracks each stage and shows the transaction ID.

Before you send

  • Send ADA over the Cardano network itself, not the BEP-20 version of ADA on BNB Smart Chain, to the deposit address shown.
  • Copy the receiving address from a Monero wallet whose seed you hold, and check that it begins with 4 (primary) or 8 (subaddress).
  • Keep a little extra ADA in your Cardano wallet to cover the transaction fee your wallet adds to the deposit.
  • Expect newly received XMR to stay locked in your Monero wallet for 10 blocks before you can spend it.

ADA to XMR Frequently Asked Questions

Will my ADA deposit be private once it becomes XMR?

No, the ADA you send is recorded publicly on the Cardano blockchain, and anyone can look it up with a block explorer. Privacy starts on the Monero side, where the payout to your wallet does not reveal sender, receiver or amount on the public chain. Keep that split in mind when you think about what others can see.

Which Monero wallet address should receive the XMR?

Use an address from your own Monero wallet: a primary address starts with 4 and a subaddress starts with 8. Both are long strings, so copy and paste rather than typing. No form can tell whether the wallet belongs to you, so compare the first and last characters after pasting.

Does Monero still use payment IDs for incoming payouts?

Not for this payout, and the widget has no field for one. Services once used payment IDs to tell customer deposits apart, but modern Monero wallets do that with subaddresses. Paste your address in the receiving field and leave everything else as it is.

What if my ADA is the BEP-20 version on BNB Smart Chain?

Then this page is the wrong one, because the deposit address here is on Cardano mainnet and accepts only native ADA. BEP-20 ADA has its own entry in the coin selector. Pick it there if that is what you hold, and never mix the two versions.

Can the XMR I receive differ from the widget's estimate?

It can, slightly, because the rate floats and the estimate follows the market until your ADA deposit is confirmed and exchanged. If ADA moves against XMR in that window, the payout moves with it, usually by a small amount. The Monero network fee for sending your coins was already deducted from the figure you saw.

Will anyone ask for ID when I swap ADA to XMR?

Placing an ADA to XMR order involves no ID, email or account. Once in a while a partner's automated anti-money-laundering check can pause a flagged transaction and request verification. If that happens to your order, contact support on Telegram at @xswap_to and share the transaction ID.
