The market price can still drift slightly from the peg in stressed conditions, and the peg is Circle's commitment, not a promise from xswap.to.

Not always. The floating rate follows the ETH market until your deposit is confirmed, so the final USDC figure can land a little above or below the quote. The ERC-20 payout fee is already part of the estimate.
