No, the deposit must come from HyperEVM, the EVM chain where native HYPE is a normal on-chain coin. Balances in the Hyperliquid trading account sit on HyperCore, a separate layer. Transfer the HYPE to your HyperEVM address first, then send it to the one-time deposit address on the order page.
You need one when the Stellar address belongs to an exchange or other custodial service that pools customer funds. Enter the memo it gives you in the memo field, character for character. A self-custody Stellar wallet has its own address and can usually leave the field empty.
A standard Stellar public address is 56 characters long and starts with the letter G. It has nothing in common with the 0x addresses used on HyperEVM, so your EVM wallet cannot receive XLM. Copy the address from a Stellar wallet or from an exchange's XLM deposit page.
Stellar requires every account to keep a small base reserve of XLM that cannot be spent while the account exists. If your address is new, part of the XLM you receive is held as that reserve, so the spendable balance is a little below the total. This is a Stellar network rule, not an xswap.to charge.
Your quote came from a floating rate, taken from the market when the order was created. If HYPE or XLM moves before your deposit confirms on HyperEVM, the exchange happens at the rate available then. The Stellar network fee is already deducted in the figure you saw.
