People usually make this USDC to USDT exchange because a merchant, OTC desk or payroll tool asks for Tether specifically, or because they want USDT on another network such as TRC-20 on TRON, which the coin selector also offers.
USDC is issued by Circle and USDT by Tether, and both aim to hold a one-to-one peg with the US dollar backed by reserves. On the default setting both tokens live on Ethereum, so this is a same-network swap, the payout goes to a standard 0x address and no memo is involved. The catch is gas: moving USDC out of your wallet is an ERC-20 transfer, so you need a little ETH in that same address to pay the network fee.

The estimate is not one to one because the exchange margin and the Ethereum network fee for the payout are taken out of it. The two stablecoins can also trade a fraction apart on the market. On larger amounts the gap is small, while on very small amounts the payout fee takes a bigger share.
It can, as long as you choose the TRC-20 version of Tether in the receive selector before you create the order. The payout address then has to be a TRON address starting with T. Other options in the selector include BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain, SPL on Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum One and the Jetton on TON.
You need a small ETH balance, because every ERC-20 transfer pays gas in ETH. Without it your wallet cannot broadcast the USDC deposit at all. How much you need depends on how busy Ethereum is when you send.
The deposit address only accepts the asset and network shown on your order page, so USDC sent on Polygon, Base or Solana to an Ethereum order can be lost. If you hold USDC on another chain, pick that version in the selector first so the deposit address matches. It cannot go below a minimum that the widget shows for current conditions. It changes with Ethereum gas costs and liquidity, so it is not a fixed number. Sending less than the minimum can leave the order unprocessed, so check the figure before you send.
No account, email or ID is needed to create a USDC to USDT order. In rare cases a partner's automated anti-money-laundering check can pause a flagged transaction and ask for verification. The order only needs your Ethereum receiving address, never a private key or seed phrase.
